The first Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAGe) Smart Village Centre (RSVC) was inaugurated at Mandaura village in Sonipat, Haryana, on 14 February 2025 by Principal Scientific Adviser Ajay Kumar Sood. Developed under the Office of the PSA with partners the Modern Village Foundation and the Chaalis Gaon Vikas Parishad, the centre works at the panchayat level to serve 15â20 villages. It offers 12 technology tracks, including agriculture, waste management, renewable energy, housing, FinTech and livelihoods. Twenty more centres are planned across India, along with a Techpreneurs programme for women entrepreneurs.
