First International Big Cat Alliance Summit postponed along with Fourth India–Africa Forum Summit
On 21 May 2026 the Environment Ministry said the First International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit, set for 1 June 2026 in New Delhi alongside the Fourth India–Africa Forum Summit, will be held at a later date.

The First International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit, scheduled for 1 June 2026 in New Delhi, has been postponed, the Environment Ministry announced on 21 May 2026. It was to be held with the Fourth India–Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV), since several African countries host big cats. After a decision, taken in consultation with the Chairperson of the African Union and the African Union Commission, to convene IAFS-IV later, the IBCA Summit will also be held later to ensure participation of all range countries. New dates will be announced after consultations.
