Union Minister of Labour & Employment Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the newly developed 220-bedded Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital at Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on 17 April 2025, in the presence of Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. ESIC had approved the hospital as a 200-bedded facility in June 2018; it has since been upgraded to 220 beds. The new building was built at a cost of ₹99.06 crore with a built-up area of 17,559 square metres. The minister said the hospital will serve over 5 lakh workers. He also gave cash benefit certificates and sanction letters to ESIC beneficiaries and honoured the construction workers.
