The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) completed the full rollout of its Centralized Pension Payments System (CPPS) under the Employees' Pension Scheme, 1995, the Labour Ministry announced on 3 January 2025. Through CPPS, about ₹1,570 crore of pension for December 2024 was disbursed to more than 68 lakh pensioners of all 122 pension-disbursing regional offices of EPFO. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said CPPS lets pensioners draw pension from any bank, any branch, anywhere, without a physical verification visit; the first pilot ran in October 2024 at Karnal, Jammu and Srinagar.
