The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) released provisional payroll data on 22 June 2025 showing a net addition of 19.14 lakh members in April 2025, up 31.31% over March 2025 and 1.17% over April 2024. About 8.49 lakh new subscribers joined, of whom 4.89 lakh, or 57.67%, were aged 18–25. Around 15.77 lakh members who had exited earlier rejoined. The top five states and UTs accounted for about 60.10% of net payroll addition, with Maharashtra leading at 21.12%.
