The Government of India approved a ₹417 crore Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) at Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh on 25 June 2025, reviewed by IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS Jitin Prasada. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will develop the 200-acre cluster. The cluster is expected to attract ₹2,500 crore in investment and generate 15,000 jobs. It will support consumer, automotive and industrial electronics, medical devices, computer hardware and communication equipment, with plug-and-play facilities for startups and MSMEs.
