Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey 2025-26 in Parliament on 29 January 2026. Based on the First Advance Estimates, real GDP is estimated to grow 7.4% and GVA 7.3% in FY26, keeping India the fastest-growing major economy for the fourth year in a row; FY27 growth is projected at 6.8–7.2% and potential growth at about 7%.
