ECI launches ECINET, its one-stop digital platform, at IICDEM 2026

The Election Commission launched ECINET, a one-stop digital platform for all election information and services, at IICDEM 2026 in New Delhi on 22 January 2026.

Summary

The Election Commission of India launched ECINET on 22 January 2026 at the India International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM) 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam from 21 to 23 January. Envisaged by CEC Gyanesh Kumar with ECs Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, and announced in May 2025, the platform is available in 22 scheduled languages and English. The CEC offered to help other election bodies build similar platforms under their own laws. Cybersecurity is a key pillar of the platform.
