The 293 participants included 264 BLO Supervisors, 14 Electoral Registration Officers and 2 District Election Officers. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said Booth Level Officers are the Commission's first interface with voters. With this batch, nearly 2,300 participants have been trained at IIIDEM in the past few weeks. Participants were also familiarised with first appeals against final electoral rolls to the District Magistrate under Section 24(a) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, and second appeals to the Chief Electoral Officer of the State/UT under Section 24(b).
