The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on 31 July 2025 that it had finalised the list of members of the Electoral College for the Vice-Presidential Election, 2025. Under Article 324 of the Constitution, the ECI conducts the election to the office of Vice-President. Article 66(1) provides that the Vice-President is elected by an Electoral College of the elected members of the Rajya Sabha, the nominated members of the Rajya Sabha and the elected members of the Lok Sabha. Rule 40 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Rules, 1974 requires the Commission to prepare and maintain an updated list of these members with their addresses. Members are listed in continuous serial order, arranged alphabetically by the State or Union Territory of their House. The ECI said the list would be on sale at a counter in the Commission from the date of notification, which was likely to be announced soon.
