ECI to launch ECINET, a single platform replacing over 40 apps

ECINET, a new one-stop digital platform of the Election Commission of India (ECI), will integrate and reorient over 40 existing ECI mobile and web applications, the Commission said on 4 May 2025. It will serve electors, election officials, political parties and civil society through a single interface, removing the need for multiple apps and logins. The platform was envisaged by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at the Conference of Chief Electoral Officers in March 2025, in the presence of Election Commissioners Dr. Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr. Vivek Joshi. ECINET will subsume apps such as Voter Helpline, Voter Turnout, cVIGIL, Suvidha 2.0, ESMS, Saksham and the KYC App, which together have over 5.5 crore downloads. Data will be entered only by authorised ECI officials, and in case of conflict the primary data in statutory forms will prevail.
