The Milkipur vacancy arose from the resignation of Awadhesh Prasad, and the Erode (East) vacancy from the death of E.V.K.S. Elangovan. The ECI later notified 5 February 2025 as the polling day on which exit polls were barred for both the Delhi general election and these bye-elections.
