Mansukh Mandaviya launches e-Shram portal in all 22 Scheduled Languages

Summary

Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched the multilingual functionality of the e-Shram portal at an event in New Delhi on 7 January 2025, making the portal available in all 22 Scheduled Languages. The e-Shram upgrade used MeitY's Bhashini project; the earlier version was available only in English, Hindi, Kannada and Marathi. The minister said the portal records over 30,000 registrations a day by unorganised workers and facilitates access to twelve Central Government schemes.
