DSC A23 (Yard 328), the fourth ship of the Indian Navy's five-vessel Diving Support Craft (DSC) project, was launched at Titagarh, Kolkata, West Bengal, on 19 April 2026 by Mrs Deepa Sivakumar in the presence of Vice Admiral B. Sivakumar, Chief of Materiel. The craft are being built by Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL). Each has a 30-metre catamaran hull and displaces about 380 tonnes, giving stability for diving operations in coastal waters and harbours. The design was model-tested at the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory, Visakhapatnam, and about 70% of the main and auxiliary equipment is sourced from Indian manufacturers.
