On the evening of 20 August 2025, DRI officers made simultaneous interceptions at Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna railway station, Bengaluru, recovering 29.88 kg, and at Bhopal Junction, recovering 24.186 kg from passengers on the Rajdhani train from Bengaluru. In the early hours of 21 August, a passenger who had arrived in Bengaluru from Thailand was intercepted at a hotel with another 17.958 kg, and the syndicate's associate mastermind was traced in New Delhi with ₹1.02 crore in drug proceeds. In all, 72.024 kg of hydroponic weed worth about ₹72 crore was seized under the NDPS Act, 1985, and six persons were arrested.
