On 26 February 2025 the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Paytm signed an MoU to drive innovation in India's manufacturing and fintech startups. Under it, Paytm will offer startups mentorship, infrastructure and market access support, letting them test and refine products using its merchant network. The MoU was signed by DPIIT Director Dr Sumeet Kumar Jarangal and Paytm Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
