The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) released a report on a Disaster Risk and Resilience Assessment Framework (DRRAF) for the telecom sector on 12 February 2025. The study, part of CDRI's national and sub-national assessment, covered five states, Assam, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Gujarat, and developed a disaster risk and resilience index for them. Telecom Secretary Neeraj Mittal linked the effort to the UN's 'Early Warnings for All by 2027' initiative.
