Cabinet approves three Delhi Metro Phase V(A) corridors worth ₹12,014.91 crore

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24 December 2025 approved three new corridors totalling 16.076 km under Delhi Metro's Phase V(A), at a total cost of ₹12,014.91 crore. The corridors are R.K. Ashram Marg–Indraprastha (9.913 km), which will serve the Central Vista and Kartavya Bhawans, Aerocity–IGD Airport Terminal 1 (2.263 km) and Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj (3.9 km), with 13 stations of which 10 will be underground. The new sections extend the Magenta Line and the Golden Line; Delhi Metro now carries an average of 65 lakh passenger journeys a day.
