On 7 October 2024, at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantt, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh launched the second edition of Acing Development of Innovative Technologies with iDEX (ADITI 2.0) challenges and the 12th edition of Defence India Start-up Challenges (DISC 12) during DefConnect 4.0. ADITI 2.0 has 19 challenges in areas such as AI, quantum technology, military communication, anti-drone systems and adaptive camouflage, with grants of up to Rs 25 crore. DISC 12 has 41 challenges with grants up to Rs 1.50 crore and introduces the Medical Innovations and Research Advancement (MIRA) initiative. He said procurement orders of Rs 1,000 crore have been placed for 26 iDEX products.
