CSIR-AMPRI Bhopal transfers indigenous SODAR technology to industry on its 46th Foundation Day

CSIR's Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal, transferred its indigenous SODAR (Sound Detection and Ranging) technology to Meteoxperts Solutions, Noida, during its 46th Foundation Day celebrations, PIB said on 15 May 2026.

CSIR-Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), a Bhopal-based CSIR laboratory, transferred its indigenous SODAR (Sound Detection and Ranging) system technology to Meteoxperts Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Noida, during its 46th Foundation Day celebrations held on 12–14 May 2026, the Science Ministry said on 15 May. CSIR Director General N. Kalaiselvi attended and said the transfer strengthens indigenous atmospheric monitoring technology under Atmanirbhar Bharat. SODAR is used in climate and environmental studies, including weather forecasting and air quality management; AMPRI scientist Kirti Soni led its development.
