CSIR-NIScPR launches popular science magazines in five Indian languages on CSIR's 85th Foundation Day
On the occasion of CSIR's 85th Foundation Day, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched five new popular science magazines in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and Assamese published by CSIR-NIScPR, the ministry announced on 26 September 2026.
Summary
The magazines are Bigyan Lahar (Assamese), Bigyan Brittanto (Bengali), Vidnyan Kshitij (Marathi), Ariviyal Arikkaiyalar (Tamil) and Vigyan Velugu (Telugu). They add to CSIR-NIScPR's flagship magazines Science Reporter (English), Vigyan Pragati (Hindi) and Science ki Duniya (Urdu). Artificial Intelligence will help translate selected content from the existing magazines. CSIR DG Dr N. Kalaiselvi attended the launch.
