Union Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Patil launched the Sujalam Bharat App on 10 December 2025 to bring real-time information on rural drinking water supply to citizens and institutions. The Sujalam Bharat App was developed with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N) for geo-referencing, monitoring and management of rural water supply infrastructure under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Each scheme and its service area will get a unique 'Sujalam Bharat â Sujal Gaon ID', showing which scheme supplies water to which households.
