Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil inaugurated C-FLOOD, a Unified Inundation Forecasting System, at Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi, on 2 July 2025. Developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune and the Central Water Commission under the National Supercomputing Mission, C-FLOOD is a web platform giving two-day advance inundation forecasts up to village level. The system currently covers the Mahanadi, Godavari and Tapi river basins, with Mahanadi simulations run on NSM high-performance computing at C-DAC Pune.
