On Sindhi Bhasha Diwas, 10 April 2026, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released the updated Constitution of India in Sindhi — the first edition in Devanagari script and the second edition in Persian script — at the Vice President's Enclave, New Delhi. The translation was brought out by the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice. Law Minister of State (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal said the Government aims to make the Constitution available in all scheduled languages, recalled Sindhi's inclusion in the Eighth Schedule and credited former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's efforts for it. Sindhi was added to the Eighth Schedule by the Constitution (Twenty-first Amendment) Act, 1967.
