Summary

The CoBRA battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Jharkhand Police carried out an anti-Naxal operation in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand on 15 September 2025. Sahdev Soren alias Parvesh, a Central Committee member of the CPI (Maoist) carrying a bounty of ₹1 crore, was neutralised in the operation. Security forces also eliminated two other Maoists with bounties, Raghunath Hembram alias Chanchal and Birsen Ganjhu alias Ramkhelawan. Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the operation and said that after it, Naxalism had been completely eradicated from the Bokaro region of northern Jharkhand.
