On 27 November 2024, Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi presented the President's Colours to four battalions of the Mechanised Infantry at a ceremony at the Mechanised Infantry Centre and School (MIC&S), Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. He presented them on behalf of the President of India in recognition of the battalions' exemplary service. The President's Colours is one of the highest honours awarded to a military unit in the Indian Army. The COAS noted that the Mechanised Infantry Arm, since its inception in 1979, has served in operations such as Op PAWAN, Op VIJAY and Op RAKSHAK. He also felicitated four Veteran Achievers.
