CAQM approves revised GRAP schedule for NCR with 48 actions; old-vehicle curbs extended to Sonipat
The Commission for Air Quality Management approved a revised Graded Response Action Plan for the National Capital Region at its 30th full Commission meeting chaired by Rajesh Verma; PIB announced it on 29 September 2026.

The revised GRAP schedule, approved on 28 September 2026, now has 48 actions: 25 in Stage-I, 8 in Stage-II, 10 in Stage-III and 5 in Stage-IV. Actions on DG sets and entry of BS-IV and older buses from NCR states were moved from Stage-II to Stage-I. Restrictions on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers were extended to Sonipat, in addition to Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar. The exemption for BS-IV and older goods vehicles carrying essential commodities in Stages III and IV was removed. The Commission also extended web-portal monitoring of dust control to more construction and demolition sites.
