The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) Sub-Committee on the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) invoked all Stage-III actions across the National Capital Region with immediate effect on 9 January 2025 after Delhi's average AQI rose to 357 at 4 pm, according to the CPCB bulletin. Delhi's AQI had been 297 on 8 January and rose because of calm winds and foggy conditions.
