The Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding with CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) and the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, on 10 June 2025. The MoU supports implementation of the Standard Framework for redevelopment of urban roads, including paving and greening of pathways and sidewalks, and the setting up of a Project Monitoring Cell (PMC) at CAQM. In the first phase, nine NCR cities were taken up: Delhi, Faridabad, Gurugram, Sonipat, Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Bhiwadi and Neemrana. CAQM is a statutory body under the Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Act, 2021 (No. 29 of 2021).
