On 6 December 2024, in New Delhi, the Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi approved the Rithala-Narela-Nathupur (Kundli) corridor of Delhi Metro's Phase-IV, 26.463 km long with 21 elevated stations, at a completion cost of Rs 6,230 crore. To be built by DMRC in four years, it will extend the existing Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda)-Rithala Red Line and link Shaheed Sthal in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh with Nathupur in Haryana via Delhi.
