The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the extension corridor of the Noida Metro Rail Project from Noida Sector 142 to Botanical Garden on 13 February 2026. The 11.56-km corridor will have eight elevated stations and interchanges with the Delhi Metro's Blue Line and Magenta Line at Botanical Garden. Once it is running, Noida and Greater Noida will have 61.62 km of active metro network. The line will serve IT hubs, commercial centres, colleges and hospitals along the route.
