C-DOT signs MoU with IIT Hyderabad for its fourth Centre of Excellence in advanced communication technologies

The Department of Telecommunications said on 24 June 2026 that C-DOT has signed an MoU with IIT Hyderabad to set up a Centre of Excellence in advanced communication technologies, its fourth such CoE after IIT Kanpur, IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Roorkee.

The Department of Telecommunications said on 24 June 2026 that the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in advanced communication technologies at IITH. The CoE is C-DOT's fourth, after similar centres at IIT Kanpur, IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Roorkee. The centre will focus on wireless communications, quantum technologies, cybersecurity and AI, with joint research in 5G Advanced/6G, very large-scale MIMO, integrated sensing and communication, and quantum and post-quantum communications.
