The Centre for Development of Telematics launched the first cohort of 'Samarth', an incubation programme for startups in telecom and ICT, with STPI as implementation partner, on 19 March 2025.

The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the telecom R&D centre of the Department of Telecommunications, launched the first cohort of its incubation programme 'Samarth' on 19 March 2025. It supports startups working on telecom software, cyber security, 5G/6G, AI, IoT and quantum technologies. Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), under MeitY, is the implementation partner. The programme takes up to 18 startups per cohort, 36 across two six-month cohorts, in hybrid mode. DPIIT-recognised startups can apply; those selected can get a grant of up to ₹5 lakh each, six months of office space at the C-DOT campus, lab access and mentoring.
