Union Minister Pralhad Joshi released three new Indian Standards of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) at the National Consumer Day 2025 event at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on 24 December 2025. IS 19445:2025 sets performance evaluation requirements for bomb disposal systems such as bomb blankets and baskets and was taken up at the request of the Home Ministry and DRDO's Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL). IS 19262:2025 is a test code for electric agricultural tractors, and IS 19412:2025 for incense sticks (agarbatti) bans certain insecticides such as permethrin and fipronil and synthetic fragrance chemicals such as benzyl cyanide.
