Bihar SIR: 95.92% of electors covered with six days left

The Election Commission of India said on 19 July 2025 that 95.92 percent of Bihar's electors had been covered in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with six days still left to fill enumeration forms. Of 7,89,69,844 electors (as on 24 June 2025), 90.64 percent had returned forms and 88.25 percent of forms had been digitised. About 41.64 lakh electors (5.27 percent) were not found at their addresses, including 14.29 lakh probably deceased, 19.74 lakh probably permanently shifted and 7.50 lakh enrolled at multiple places. Nearly 1 lakh BLOs, 4 lakh volunteers and 1.5 lakh BLAs of political parties were working to include every eligible elector in the draft roll to be published on 1 August 2025.
