The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), under the Ministry of Power, invited applications for the 35th National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) 2025, PIB reported on 15 October 2025. The awards will be presented on 14 December 2025, observed as National Energy Conservation Day, at a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, graced by President Droupadi Murmu. Instituted in 1991, NECA recognises industries, buildings, transport undertakings and institutions for energy efficiency. For the first time, NECA 2025 has a special category for digital content creators and influencers, aligned with Mission LiFE. The last date for applications is 7 November 2025. BEE was set up on 1 March 2002 under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.
