The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, launched ATL Sarthi and Mentor India Academy in Telangana on 4 April 2026 to extend structured mentorship and institutional support to 379 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) in the state. Under the model, the ATLs will be organised into regional clusters, each anchored by a nodal institution providing mentorship, teacher training and pathways to incubation; Vardhaman College of Engineering has been onboarded as the nodal institution for the state. The launch was attended by Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy.
