The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) released the results of the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) 2025, covering January–December 2025, on 24 March 2026. The estimated number of establishments rose from 7.34 crore in ASUSE 2023-24 to 7.92 crore, a growth of about 7.97%. Employment grew 6.18%, adding over 74.52 lakh jobs. Gross value added rose 10.87% at current prices, led by trade (16.77%), manufacturing (8.52%) and other services (7.36%). Emolument per hired worker rose 3.88%.
