The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation released the detailed report and unit-level data of the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) 2023-24 on 29 January 2025, covering October 2023 to September 2024. ASUSE 2023-24 found establishments in the unincorporated non-agricultural sector rose 12.84% to 7.34 crore from 6.50 crore, workers rose 10.01% to more than 12 crore and GVA grew 16.52% at current prices. Uttar Pradesh had the most establishments, followed by West Bengal and Maharashtra, while Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat led in GVA; the share of female workers rose to 28.12% from 25.63%.
