The Assam Cabinet on 31 January 2025 approved the Assam Startup and Innovation Policy 2025, the Assam Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing Policy 2025 and the Assam Action Plan on BioE3 Policy to make the state more industry- and investment-friendly. The Assam Cabinet also approved a new administrative department, the Department of Innovation, Incubation and Startup, to provide policy, funding and mentorship support to startups. The Cabinet extended the application window for Mission Basundhara 3.0 services till 15 February 2025 and approved guidelines for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan–Nogoria for urban SHG members.
