On 24 October 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation and the Indian Army's operational preparedness at the Army Commanders' Conference in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, and visited the forward areas of Tanot and Laungewala. He called Operation Sindoor a symbol of India's military strength and restraint. He virtually opened Edge Data Centres of the Konark and Fire & Fury Corps, launched an Equipment Helpline and the Sainik Yatri Mitra App, and released a 'Defence Millet Dishes Compendium'. At Laungewala he opened 'Chandpuri Hall', dedicated to Major (later Brigadier) Kuldip Singh Chandpuri, who led the defence in the 1971 Battle of Laungewala. He also watched a capability demonstration featuring the new Bhairav Battalion and Ashni Platoon.
