'Antar Drishti' sensory dark room inaugurated at NIEPVD Dehradun

On 7 April 2025, NIEPVD Dehradun, with the National Association for the Blind, inaugurated 'Antar Drishti', a sensory dark room to sensitise society to the challenges faced by persons with visual impairment.

The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyangjan), Dehradun, in collaboration with the National Association for the Blind (NAB), New Delhi, inaugurated 'Antar Drishti', a sensory dark room, on 7 April 2025. It was inaugurated by Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). NIEPVD also signed an MoU with Amar Seva Sangam, under which it will implement the 'Enable Inclusion' app for early identification, intervention and tracking of children with developmental disabilities.
