'Anjadip', the third of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC) designed and built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, was delivered to the Indian Navy at Chennai on 22 December 2025. Built under a public-private partnership of GRSE with L&T Shipyard, Kattupalli, these craft of about 77 metres are the largest Indian naval warships propelled by waterjets and carry lightweight torpedoes, indigenous anti-submarine rockets and shallow-water sonar. Anjadip, with over 80% indigenous content, revives the name of a Petya-class corvette decommissioned in 2003 and is named after Anjadip Island off Karwar, Karnataka.
