He called the scheme a big step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Sahkar Se Samriddhi', aimed at raising the income of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and creating rural employment. He called for extending the loan period for PACS under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund and asked FCI, NCCF, NAFED and State Warehousing Corporations to connect PACS with as many warehouses as possible.
