The FCRA 2.0 Portal is meant to cut paperwork, speed up applications and allow real-time monitoring of foreign contributions; it uses e-Sign authentication and OCR, integrates with PAN, Aadhaar, OCI, NGO Darpan and ICAI's UDIN system, and hosts data on the MeghRaj government cloud. The e-OCI Card will benefit more than 50 lakh OCI cardholders: the whole process from application to downloading the card is digital, and the OCI booklet no longer has to be re-issued when a new passport is issued after 20 years.
