Amit Shah inaugurates NSG's National IED Data Management System (NIDMS)

Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the National Security Guard's National IED Data Management System (NIDMS) by video conference on 9 January 2026, a single-window repository of data on bomb blasts for investigation and anti-terror agencies.

The National IED Data Management System (NIDMS) of the National Security Guard (NSG) was inaugurated by Home Minister Amit Shah through video conferencing on 9 January 2026. Shah said NIDMS will give investigation agencies and anti-terror organisations single-click access to data on explosions scattered across case files, help analyse blast patterns, modus operandi and explosives used, and connect with other data sources using AI under the idea of 'One Nation, One Data Repository'. He also described ICJS-2 as a next-generation data-sharing system based on 'One Data–One Entry'. The NSG was established in 1984.
