Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the Core Integration & Flight Testing Centre for the fifth-generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) at Puttaparthi, Sri Satya Sai district, on 15 May 2026. The centre belongs to the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), an affiliate organisation of DRDO, and the AMCA programme has a total outlay of around ₹15,000 crore. A ₹480-crore Naval Systems Manufacturing Facility of Bharat Dynamics Limited at T Sirasapalli, Anakapalli district, will make autonomous underwater vehicles, counter-measure systems and next-generation torpedoes, and eight drone companies will set up a Drone City in Kurnool. Rajnath Singh said defence production had risen to nearly ₹1.54 lakh crore from ₹46,000 crore in 2014.
