The Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER), under MeitY, and AIIMS New Delhi signed an MoU on 25 March 2025, the 32nd Foundation Day of AIIMS's Department of NMR. The MoU covers joint research on medical devices, clinical validation of the indigenous 1.5 Tesla MRI system developed by SAMEER Mumbai, AI/ML for image enhancement, and subsystems for high- and low-field MRI scanners. SAMEER Mumbai is the nodal agency for the Indigenous Magnetic Resonance Imaging (IMRI) national mission sponsored by MeitY.
