6th National Water Awards: Maharashtra named Best State, Gujarat second, Haryana third

Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil announced the winners of the 6th National Water Awards for 2024 in New Delhi on 11 November 2025, with Maharashtra first in the Best State category, Gujarat second and Haryana third.

The 6th National Water Awards have 46 winners, including joint winners, across 10 categories such as Best State, Best District, Best Village Panchayat, Best Urban Local Body, Best School or College, Best Industry and Best Civil Society. Winners get a citation and trophy, with cash prizes in some categories.
