The 4th India-EU Urban Forum on Smart and Sustainable Urbanisation was held in New Delhi on 13 February 2025, building on the 2017 Joint Declaration on Partnership for Smart and Sustainable Urbanization. It focused on urban alliances and integrated approaches, innovation and circularity at city level, and inclusive urban mobility. EU Ambassador Hervé Delphin said the EU had used over €45 million to leverage more than €1 billion for sustainable urbanisation in India, and Team Europe has worked with over 40 Indian municipalities.
